FOR ENTERING ONTO AND USE OF FACILITIES

The guest/visitor hereby acknowledges and agrees that entering onto or use of the facilities at The Ediths Serenity is subject to the following Terms and Conditions and that all guests/visitors will be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Upon paying the booking, the guest/visitor acknowledges his/her acceptance and understanding of these Terms & Conditions, which incorporates our General Indemnity and Disclaimers as well as House Rules, and further agrees to inform all persons in his/her party of the contents hereof. It is an express condition that all guests/visitors, as well as all persons in his/her party and their children, are bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Right of Admission

Right of admission is reserved, and The Ediths Serenity and its owners, employees, agents, contractors reserve the right to decline accommodation to or cancel the balance of booked accommodation and to expel any guest/visitor for conduct which, at our sole discretion, is inappropriate to the property, breach of House Rules, or to the comfort of any other guest/visitor. No refund shall be payable under such circumstances. Kindly note that no more than 24 (twenty-four) people are allowed in the rooms at any one time.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Ediths Serenity, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel and/or refund accommodation fees and/or offer a booking alternative by way of postponement (voucher) to an alternative booking date and/or move guests to similar alternative accommodation for any reasons beyond our reasonable control and/or to comply with any legislation or policies as may be determined from time to time by the Government. The Ediths Serenity and its owners, employees, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any further compensation or any other payment or loss whatsoever.

Liability Disclaimer

The Ediths Serenity and its owners, employees, agents, contractors will not be held responsible or accept any liability nor issue any refunds for occurrences resulting in loss of occupancy, personal injury, loss or damage to property caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to faults in the sewage or plumbing installations, the breakdown of appliances, invasion of pests, wild animals, weather conditions, natural disasters, flooding, or water supply disruption.

Booking Confirmation

A booking will only be confirmed once the full booking security amount has been received by The Ediths Serenity.

The balance of a booking fee is payable by direct deposit or electronic funds transfer (EFT) prior to arrival. No debit/credit card payments will be accepted. Any amount owing must be paid in full before arrival at The Ediths.

Payment Details

Payment: Direct deposits or electronic funds transfer must be deposited into The Ediths Serenity's bank account before the due date. Kindly enter your surname on the proof of payment and email it to [email protected]. Please note that any cash payments made into our bank account will attract an additional fee, which will be added to the total booking amount due and will be solely for the account of the guest making the booking, to be settled prior to arrival.

Provisional Booking

Failing to pay the booking will result in the provisional booking being canceled unless otherwise agreed to in writing by The Ediths Serenity Accounts Department.

Damage and Losses

Any damages or losses resulting from the conduct or omissions of the guest/visitor or their children will be invoiced to the guest/visitor.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made sixty (60) days or less prior to your arrival date will make you liable to lose 100% of your Booking. If canceling fifteen (15) days prior to the arrival date, you will forfeit 50% of your Booking Security Fee.

Caravans and Tents

No caravans and/or tents are allowed on The Ediths overnight visitors without prior explicit consent in writing from The Ediths.

Smoking Policy

The Ediths Serenity is strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted outside the house.

Security and Access Control

The Ediths Serenity maintains and implements security and access control measures at certain locations, entry and exit points, properties, and access roads. Please note that all the entry and exit points, properties, and access roads are subject to 24/7 CCTV recorded surveillance, access control measures, and guarded patrols. You will be provided with the access codes on the day of arrival. All guests and visitors will strictly abide and comply with all security measures and rules put in place by The Ediths and will not do anything to compromise any of these security measures and rules, failure of which could result, among others, in being denied access to the properties and/or even possible eviction and/or prosecution. By entering any of the properties, access points, and roads, all guests and visitors consent to being recorded and/or photographed, and any such recorded media may be used and distributed by The Ediths and its representatives, law enforcement, and security agencies (private or public) to further any security measures and/or issues being assessed and/or any investigations, identification, and prosecution purposes.

General Indemnity and Disclaimers

Our General Indemnity and Disclaimers are part of these Terms and Conditions.

Jurisdiction

All guests/visitors agree to and consent to the jurisdiction of the Bushbuckridge Magistrates Court, Mpumalanga Province, in the event of any litigation that may result from this agreement. The Ediths Serenity’s legal costs will be charged at attorney & own client scale.

These Terms and Conditions, which incorporate the General Indemnity & Disclaimers and House Rules, contain the full and only agreement between The Ediths Serenity, its owners, employees, agents, contractors, and the guest/visitor unless expressly waived or altered in writing by a duly authorized representative of The Ediths Serenity.
